With electricity production becoming increasingly decentralised as energy transition takes hold, optimising power grid maintenance is becoming a major challenge. Shortcomings in this regard can have significant environmental and financial consequences.

Our approach is based on Frugal AI, which enables the efficient processing of large-scale LiDAR point clouds. Our solution automates the classification of power lines (lines, pylons, and insulation), vegetation, and soil to anticipate the replacement of grid components and identify areas where vegetation poses a risk to the lines; network maintenance and pruning campaigns are thus anticipated and optimised.
